#7 When Your Goldendoodle Dog Is an Attention Sponge
Morning Reflections
I found it amusing to see Zephyr, one of my Goldendoodles, lying on our fabric-tufted coffee table this morning. Granted, her blanket was spread out on the top of the table, so naturally, “I's fair game,” she would say—if she could talk. “Any surface with a blanket is doggy’s,” says her eyes in the image above.
Look at her. She’s not even the slightest bit ashamed.
Fellow dog owners will understand when I say that having a fur baby—or several—makes every day good. They make me laugh. They force me/us when Kevin has time, to go outside for a daily walk, even when it feels too busy. And when we’re out with them, we always meet new people because they are so darn cute.
I mean, look at them!
Anyone that sees us out and about always stops us to say hi. And what could be better than making new friends, right?
Gratitude
So, besides being grateful for my dogs, another good thing I’m thankful for is this journal. It’s nearly impossible not to be joyful when you’re actively looking for ‘Good Things’ every day. And that’s what has happened since I started this journal. Dear readers, I recommend you begin a ‘Good Things’ journal/blog/diary if you don’t already have one. This is not to say that I wasn’t a positive person before. But since I started writing this journal, the good things far outweigh any bad, and I can turn around a day instantly if it starts to go south.
Try it out for a day or two, and you’ll see what I mean.
Evening Reflection
After working on the Diptych painting (see above, still no name) for most of the day, I feel it’s coming along well as a set. However, each piece needs some work individually. So, now the question is, do I keep painting it with the idea of it having to be sold as a set, or should I try to get it to a point where I think each piece works as an individual as well? It’s a conundrum.
I guess we will see.
