#9 Happy Valentine’s Day + Doggy Pain Meds
Reflections
Happy Valentine's Day!
This day has always been a strange one, in my opinion. That is not meant to say I don’t believe in love. I am in love with my husband of seventeen years, and I appreciate his efforts of romanticism and our celebration of love. I have no problem commemorating love with a romantic dinner out or at home or sending and receiving gifts, flowers, and candy. No, I believe this day is so odd because it’s forced.
And so, dang, commercial.
I appreciate the idea behind the day and the celebration of Saint Valentine; I think we should celebrate love every day instead.
That’s my take, anyway.
But I’ll still say Happy Valentine’s Day to you!
Gratitude
Regarding my ‘Good Thing’ for today, I must go with doggy pain medicine. Our veterinarian told me that when Quinley, or any older dog, starts breathing heavily, they are in pain. And my poor 14-year-old girl has been breathing like she just ran a marathon.
Quinley
I hate seeing her hurt so much. But thank heaven for her pain medicine!
Zephyr
And just because Zephyr didn’t want to be left out of the photos, here’s one of her as well. However, she’s only eight years old and doesn’t seem to have any pain.
See you tomorrow!
