#28 A Little Bit of Yoga Goes a Long Way

Reflections

It’s been a while since I last practiced yoga, a ritual that once filled my everyday life with tranquility and purpose. Before the whirlwind of the Covid pandemic transformed our routines, I would find solace in a warm, inviting yoga studio as many days a week as I could, surrounded by the good vibes of fellow yogis and the gentle sounds of nature. However, the mat has remained untouched in the past month, and my practice has faded into the background. However, today, I decided to rekindle that connection by introducing my mom to the world of beginner's yoga. It felt refreshing to share those moments of mindfulness and movement, guiding her through the fundamental poses and breathing exercises that once brought me so much peace.

Gratitude

I am truly grateful for how yoga consistently uplifts my spirit and enhances my well-being, no matter how long I’ve been away from it. Whether I dedicate just a few minutes a day or extend my practice to over an hour, I always emerge feeling revitalized and centered. It brings me joy to know that my mom shared this experience today; she also expressed how wonderful she felt after engaging in her yoga practice.

Yoga is a remarkable form of medicine that addresses physical ailments and mental and emotional challenges. It's incredible how a few mindful stretches, deep breaths, and moments of reflection can transform one's mood and perspective, making it a powerful ally in my life and hers.

See you tomorrow!
