#19: When Experimentation Works
Reflections
I have been pondering how to infuse a distinctive texture into my paintings for several weeks. The desire for experimentation is a recurring theme in my artwork, and I suspect other artists often feel the same urge. This time, however, I wanted to steer clear of the typical sand texture or the familiar wet modeling paste. Instead, I envisioned a method to thicken modeling paste to achieve a consistency reminiscent of clay. While I’m still contemplating possibly incorporating clay into my work, today marked a breakthrough in my creative journey. This morning, I embarked on a bold experiment, and to my delight, it yielded promising results.

And wouldn’t you know it, it was a success! It’s a wonderful feeling when all that experimenting truly pays off. I can hardly wait to share the stunning pictures of the results with you – stay tuned, as they’ll be coming your way soon!
See you tomorrow!
